The Power of God at Work Through Translated Scripture

Amazing things happen when people read, see or hear God’s Word in their own language for the very first time. In Eurasia, a man named Zeb* began working with the local Bible translation team. He wasn’t a Christian, but as a local speaker, he was able to provide feedback on the accuracy of the translation. As Zeb listened to the various passages being read and discussed by the translation team, he was moved by God’s Word and convicted of its truth.

Zeb invited some friends to read and discuss the Scriptures, but they weren’t sure if they should become followers of Jesus. Then one day they decided to pray and ask God what to do. At that moment, Zeb and his friends saw a radiant vision of Jesus standing in the room. And they heard these words: “This book is the truth, and I am the truth. If you come to Me, you will find salvation.” The men were overwhelmed — and gladly committed their lives to Christ.
