The Wycliffe Ministry of

John began ministering in Papua New Guinea with his wife Amy in 1991. In 2010, the Malei (Hote) New Testament was dedicated. God's Word in their heart language has made a large impact on the Malei people's walk with God. John and Amy continued to minister in PNG until 2022 when Amy passed to glory.

After Amy's passing, John continued to minister as manager of the Huon Gulf Multi-language project. There are ten language projects in the project , all related languages to the Malei language. John oversees the projects, advisors and consultants that help with each group. In August 2024, John married Ana Pearson. Ana has worked for years doing translation into Spanish, French and Italian. And now she has helped several of the Huon Gulf teams doing advisor checks. Please pray and consider your role in enabling John and Ana in this call by your prayers and financial partnership.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its missionaries to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts missionaries’ ability to begin and remain in their assignment. This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the missionaries receive as “take-home pay” for their daily living expenses.
