Rachel served with her husband Bill for 20 years in Chad, Africa, facilitating a Bible translation and Literacy program for the Migaami people. The Migaami New Testament was completed in 2021. The Chesleys returned to the US in 2010, where they continued to support the Bible translation movement in Stateside roles. Rachel joined Wycliffe USA's Care Team as a Resource Coordinator, and Bill worked with the French Translator's Notes team to provide translation and exegetical resources to African national translators. Bill passed away in 2023.

 

Since 2011, Rachel has served in multiple roles on Wycliffe USA's Care Team, including serving as Director 2018-2023. Her current role as Associate Director combines providing encouragement and resources to our missionary members along with providing guidance and supervision to others on the Care Team.
