Doug and Jo became members of Wycliffe Bible Translators in 1995. They both served in supportive roles in Papua New Guinea ’97 to 2000. Doug was a single-engine pilot and Jo served as an administrative assistant in the director’s office. They are currently assigned to Wycliffe’s headquarters in Orlando.

One of Jo’s main responsibilities as Director of Orientation and Course Design is to lead the orientation programs for all staff, both stateside and global. Often, people interested in stepping out in missions are ill-equipped to serve. Jo is helping to improve both the onboarding process as well as to prepare staff to flourish as individuals and in community so that the mission of Bible translation can advance.

Doug serves as Prayer and Project Data Coordinator on Wycliffe’s Global Partnerships Team with one of the main goals being to reduce the time it takes to get urgent prayer requests from the field to committed donors and prayer partners. The assignment includes collaborating with other Bible translation organizations that also share the goal of creating a more dynamic connection between people, churches and the work of Bible translation around the world.
