Merle and Ann count it a privilege to be part of the Bible translation team. Their roles are an integral part in fulfilling Wycliffe’s goal of providing God’s Word in the language a person understands best. Because many places around the world where Wycliffe works are remote and rugged, missionary aviation provides essential transportation for Bible translators and staff.
Merle and Ann spent 31 years in Papua New Guinea, supporting the aviation program and raising their three daughters. They now live in North Carolina at the JAARS Center (www.jaars.org) where they help prepare aircraft, pilots, and mechanics for service overseas.
Merle works as the JAARS Aviation Maintenance Controller and as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician. In addition, he’s in contact with aviation programs around the world, helping them troubleshoot problems and find solutions for their aircraft.
Ann serves as an Aviation Administrative Assistant.
