Jim and Michele Axelson have been members of Wycliffe since 2004 and spent 11 years living and working in Papua New Guinea as members of the PNG Branch. They are now living stateside.

 

Jim serves as the Field Technology Systems Manager providing expertise in all Field Technology needs and supporting ongoing software development. In addition, serve as a trusted advisor to partners and customers, understanding their business objectives and providing technical guidance on how various technology solutions can address their needs. He also continues administrating the Bible translation project planning software, Hummingbird and Chameleon, a software specifically designed to use avatars to broaden the impact of signed translations.

 

Michele is working in the Global Partnerships Department of Wycliffe USA as the Director of Partnerships. Global Partnerships is an initiative that supports collaboration between organizations and churches across the Bible translation movement. A key feature is joint regional teams where individuals from different organizations work together to serve the Bible translation needs of churches and language communities. Due to the highly relational nature of this way of working and the need for nurturing trust, the Partnership Facilitator team is made up of local leaders whose organizations contribute a portion of their time to invest in fostering relationships to support our shared work.
