In the middle of 8+ years as an education consultant, Carey Weaver responded to God’s call to use her talents—specifically languages—in the most effective way. God wove together many threads to bring about this exciting reality. Carey serves in northeastern Oaxaca, in Mexico, as a linguist and Bible translator for a people group without any Scripture (yet!). She is currently in the language learning phase.

There are over 275 distinct languages spoken in Mexico. Most have the Bible, but much work remains. Thousands of souls lack the Scriptures in a language that speaks to their heart.
