Gertrude joined Wycliffe in 1985 and in 1986 she went to serve as a literacy specialist in Papua New Guinea. Kevin joined Wycliffe in 1996 after serving 6 years in the Philippines as an independent missionary. He then returned to the Philippines to provide computer support for those involve in Bible translation. While they were both on furlough in 2001, they met at the Wycliffe headquarters in Orlando and were married seven months later.
They continued working at the Orlando offices until 2005 when Kevin took a study leave to study at Dallas Theological Semiary. It was his desire to get involved in translation when they returned to the field.

In 2009 they went Papua New Guinea to work with the Notsi to translate the New Testament and provide training in literacy. They are most pleased to announce the completion of the Notsi New Testament. Their prayer is that it will be printed and shipped to Papua New Guinea in time for the dedication by April 2025.
