George & Wendy Payton
As Assistant Professor of Applied Linguistics and head of translation studies, George teaches core courses in Bible translation. His responsibilities include expanding the translation department to build a more robust offering of courses, and overseeing the design and development of relevant MA tracks for the increasing number of students coming to train in Dallas. Wendy serves as a Public Services Librarian at the DIU Library assisting students and faculty with their research endeavors.
Wycliffe’s “Vision 2025” goal is to see a Bible translation program in progress in every language still needing one by 2025. The translation training program at Dallas International University is designed for students who are interested in partnering with Bibleless people groups through the ministry of Bible Translation.
We invite you to invest in Bible Translation and “Vision 2025” by joining our Wycliffe ministry team as a prayer or financial partner.
