The Wycliffe Ministry of

Trevor & Samantha Deck

Hundreds of millions of people are now living away from their homeland. Most of those people are staying connected to their home and family through modern technology. Because of this, they too can participate in Bible translation work and benefit from any new materials being developed in their languages. This includes many forcibly displaced people from difficult situations. Many of those in diaspora communities are from unreached people groups, who still don't have the Bible, where work can happen more easily in the US, or in Europe, or a neighboring, safer country.

Trevor is identifying minority language groups represented in cities where diaspora people have gathered in order to discover which communities have potential for beginning or continuing Bible translation. He is connecting mother tongue speakers outside of their homeland to translation projects, focusing specifically on communities whose country of origin is too dangerous or too difficult to access by traditional methods.

Samantha's focus is on cross-cultural relational health on the international teams in our organization. She's facilitating an initiative called Multicultural Community of Grace, in order to foster conversations about how to have more honoring cross-cultural relationships as we work together as a global church.

Join now through prayer, encouragement and/or financial partnership to be a part of what God is doing among the nations all around the world!

Other Ways to Partner
Wycliffe Ministry Budget
Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its missionaries to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts missionaries’ ability to begin and remain in their assignment. This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the missionaries receive as “take-home pay” for their daily living expenses.
