Steve & Debbie Miller
Steve and Debbie have served with Wycliffe since 2001. They served in Papua New Guinea from 2014 to 2021.
Steve is in a type of apprenticeship to become a translation consultant. His primary task in this work is to check that translations are clear, accurate, and natural. Most of the work is done in his remote office in the US, but he makes to trips to Papua New Guinea to run translation checks with speakers of the languages. He is also assigned to the Spoken English Bible, a research project to find best practices for oral translation and to provide resources for oral translation .
Debbie has a part-time assignment as a professional life coach with Dallas International University. She works with students who are training to become missionaries. She also does a fair bit of work with DIU's faculty and staff. (Like other faculty and staff at DIU, this is her missionary assignment, and not a salaried position.)
Steve and Debbie have three adult sons and a growing number of grandchildren.
