The Getting God's Word to the Luang People project seeks to promote deeper spiritual formation by providing more of God’s Word to the Luang people of Maluku, Indonesia. In 2005, by God’s grace the Luang community received the New Testament in their language. Since that time, their use of the Scriptures has produced a desire for more. In response to this need, Mark and Kathy Taber are assisting the local church to provide them with Psalms, Proverbs and other Old Testament portions in written and audio forms. The church is also requesting a hymnbook, liturgy materials for their services, children’s Bible stories, Bible study aids, and the Jesus film. Some of these materials may be adapted into closely related dialects to expand their use and promote spiritual growth.
