Expand Your Kingdom Impact!
Partner in the Great Commission

Supporting Bible translation takes many forms; it’s more than just financial partnership. Every church is unique, and there are many ways to engage in this mission. However you choose to participate, your involvement can help bring God’s Word to those still waiting.
Here are four ideas to get your church involved today!
1. Host an Adopt-a-Verse Event
Bring Scripture to life for just $35 per verse with the Adopt-a-Verse program.
As a church, invite individuals in your congregation to sponsor one or more verses in a specific language project and book of the Bible by hosting an Adopt-a-Verse program! This hands-on program provides a practical and meaningful way for your church to engage, creating a personal connection to the work of Bible translation through this one-time giving commitment.
- Connect with a church relations facilitator to select a specific book of the Bible — you could choose to match your sermon series or invite your community to study the book of the Bible in preparation — within a specific translation project for your church to adopt.
- Select a Sunday to host the event, and prepare your congregation for the challenge.
- Invite people — individuals or families — to sponsor verses through a one-time gift. Adopt one verse or more and be part of seeing God’s Word translated for communities around the world!

2. Take the 12 Verse Challenge
Empower your church to sponsor a verse each month with the 12 Verse Challenge.
With this church-hosted digital giving experience, empower people to sponsor the translation of 12 verses over the course of a year at just $35 a month. This immersive event allows you to see your church’s goals and commitments grow in real time! When you take the 12 Verse Challenge (12VC), you are a part of transforming lives while engaging deeply with the mission of Bible translation.
- Pick a Sunday that best works for your church schedule. Connect with us to receive resources and prepare the hearts of people in your church with stories and materials that inspire generosity.
- Host a digital “Bible Translation Sunday” using an easy 12VC kit. The kit includes editable design files for promotion, bulletin inserts and social media as well as sermon prep notes, talking points and video assets.
- Rally members of your community to commit to giving $35, the average cost of translating one verse, per month for at least a year to support Bible translation work. See the ripple effect of your giving by following along with 12VC on social media.

3. Embrace the Opportunity of Missions as a Church
Expand your individual and collective impact through unique giving opportunities.
In addition to larger events and sponsorships, your church can support Bible translation through various opportunities that align with your unique interests and capacity.
- Support a Bible translation project. Rally your church to sponsor a specific community in need of God’s Word through prayer and financial partnership. See how one-time and recurring gifts can grow God’s Kingdom.
- Support a Wycliffe missionary. Partner with the ministry of a Wycliffe missionary through prayer and giving, sustaining their work and deepening your church’s global missions engagement.

4. Double Your Impact with Bread of Life Matching
Your church’s generosity can go twice as far in bringing God’s Word to those still waiting.
Through the Bread of Life Church Challenge, the first gift your church gives to a specific Bible translation project can be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $50,000. This means your first gift can have double the impact — more Scripture will be translated, more lives will be transformed and more communities will be reached with the gospel.
- Choose a Bible translation project for your church to support. Whether your church is new to Bible translation or already partnering with Wycliffe projects and/or missionaries, you can participate and have your first-time project gifts matched!
- Commit to a minimum gift toward a specific project of at least $3,500 within 12 months, and every dollar will be matched, up to $50,000, doubling your church’s impact in bringing God’s Word to those still waiting.
- Celebrate the impact! Share testimonies and updates with your church on how your generosity is making a difference!
Why this opportunity might be a good fit for your church >>
If your church is new to Bible translation, this challenge offers a unique way to launch into project giving for the first time, amplifying your impact and engaging your congregation in a tangible mission.
