Bridging the Gap for Diverse Participation
For over 80 years, Wycliffe Bible Translators has been equipping and empowering minority language communities around the world through Bible translation. Today, we're committed to serving local churches as they lead their own translation programs. And these leaders are pressing toward the finish line at an unprecedented pace!
But here in the U.S., people of color still face challenges to step into world missions. Like you, we want to open missions to all people called to serve. We created Bridge so more people of color can join what God is doing around the world.
Building pathways — More entryways for diverse staff
Raising awareness — Sharing the Bible in multicultural contexts
Innovating solutions — Creatively ideating relevant fundraising
Diverse participation — Increasing diverse staff in global missions
Global impact — Broader participation in the field
Empowering churches — Sending and participating in Bible translation
“My vision is that one day, every race, every tongue, every tribe, and every nation will hear the word missionary and see themselves. BRIDGE is a giant step in the direction of that reality.” — Brandon Samuel
How Bridge Works
Bridge participants help raise awareness and support for global Bible translation, and innovate new ways to overcome challenges for people of color in missions.
As these participants collectively serve with the Bridge program, they benefit from donations raised for the pooled fund. Giving to this fund can help foster exciting new pathways to empower current and future diverse staff.
Give to Bridge
Yes, I want to empower diversity in missions!
As members of one body, we seek to engage and equip Christ-following men, women, and children from diverse generations, cultures and churches to participate as part of God’s global mission.
"Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function,
so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body,
and we all belong to each other."
— Romans 12:4-5 (NLT)
