How to Become a Missionary Mid-Career

“I can’t believe I get to do this.” That’s what Judy said when she realized God had prepared her with unique skills that would impact His mission.

After years of working in her local church and community, God led Judy to serve in Bible translation. But it wasn’t always easy. She had to jump into new experiences and boldly trust that God would accomplish His goals. Come find out answers to frequently asked questions about serving in missions, tips to overcoming common challenges and practical steps to join in this transformational work. You’ll be encouraged as you consider how God is leading you to be involved in this moment.

Before joining Wycliffe in 2015, Judy used her communication skills to teach women. She and her husband, Brian, also regularly hosted international college students in their home. Since becoming a missionary with Wycliffe, Judy has served in a variety of roles including international relations in Washington, D.C., U.S. mobilization and organizational relations for Church Relations. Judy is passionate about mobilizing the church for God’s global mission! Judy and Brian live in Arizona.
