CAR Trauma Healing Project
The majority of the people in the Central African Republic (CAR) are deeply traumatized from violence experienced since 2013, as well as from conflicts in the decades before. The ongoing rebel activity in the vast, uncontrolled countryside continues to inflict trauma on the old and young, men and women. Scripture-based trauma healing is an important tool to help both adults and children receive healing from the wounds of the past and move with hope into the future.
The demand for trauma healing activities has greatly increased in CAR in recent years, with some local leaders asking if their entire village or town can take the course! Trauma healing activities for this project are carried out jointly with partners upon request from either local organizations or community leaders, in both CAR and other African countries. Training and mentoring of local facilitators is one of our main goals, in order that communities will have the capacity to carry out further trauma healing activities or seminars themselves, multiplying the impact.
Thank you for prayerfully considering partnering with Wycliffe through your financial and prayer partnership with the CAR Trauma Healing Project.
