Many communities around the world communicate and learn through oral and visual mediums. That’s why we develop Scripture-based audio and video resources — so people can naturally engage with the Bible in the language and format they understand best. And there’s a place for you on our innovative team!

You could join the front lines of Bible translation work and make an impact that will last for eternity. You have the chance to play a critical role in providing communities with non-print media to help people experience the Bible and be transformed.

What is a vernacular media specialist?

Vernacular media specialists help facilitate and create culturally appropriate media options in local languages (called “vernacular”). They work alongside communities and translation teams around the world in areas such as audio recordings of translated Scripture, “JESUS” film dubbing, Bible storying and other digital media.

As advancements in technology continue to provide new opportunities, we’re excited to develop a wide variety of resources including:

  • Film dubbing
  • Foreign Language
  • Audio, music and Bible recordings
  • Short films
  • Apps
  • Radio programs
  • Training opportunities for local communities
  • Print and digital media distribution strategies
