Meet Robyn Peterson! She and her husband have served with Wycliffe for about 40 years. Why does she serve in Bible translation with us? She said,

A few years ago, Robyn followed God’s lead to make a major life transition. On every step of the journey, she and her husband felt supported. She explained: “We’d been working out of the Orlando office for around 18 years, so we’d been pretty settled in the area. But we made a big move to Australia. And there’s a lot to that story, but we felt well-supported during that entire transition.”

Wycliffe assigned the couple a resource coordinator who, Robyn noted, “was just so helpful to us.” The resource coordinator was able to help the couple with financial matters and answer questions that they had. “She became a real friend,” Robyn said.

But Robyn didn’t just receive support when she and her husband went through major life changes: She also receives it daily as she strives to grow spiritually and collaborate with her teammates.

She said: “Here at Wycliffe USA, our leadership has been very deliberate and intentional about preparing materials for us to use as departments to encourage discussion and help us think through our own walk with the Lord. We have times of devotion, praying together and finding out each other’s needs as well as praying for the whole organization. It’s been a great environment for me.”

She continued, “There’s also a whole team of people who do soul care, and I personally have been really encouraged meeting with them and learning some new things that have been helpful in my own journey.
