Bringing Scripture to Life: Sign Language Bible Translation Today
Save your spotA Bible in sign language looks different from printed Scripture.
Sign languages are fully visual, with their own grammar, structure and expression. God desires to communicate His love for His people in the languages that best capture their hearts — and for Deaf communities, that requires Scripture that is presented naturally, clearly and visually.
Today there are nearly 400 known sign languages, and more than 95 already have some portion of Scripture available. Deaf translators, churches and partners around the world are working together to expand access and deepen engagement with God’s Word in visual languages.
In this webinar, field coordinator Jeremy Roe will draw on his experience supporting Bible translation projects and Deaf church partnerships across the Americas — and he’ll unpack what sign language Bible translation is and why it matters.
This webinar will be presented in English and American Sign Language (ASL). ASL interpreter provided.
