Martinez, Ignacio

Ignacio is a young Ngiva indigenous man from San Felipe Otlaltepec, Puebla. He is 29 years old. He has served in the ministry since 2019 in the Field Programs area. Since then, Ignacio has been trained in everything related to Oral Bible Translation. He recently became certified in TBO and Render. Currently, due to the growth and experience he has acquired, as well as his knowledge of the field and understanding of the indigenous context, he was promoted to Deputy Director of Field Programs.

His main responsibilities include: exploration of the field, delivery of workshops and training to the translation teams, and supervision of the projects and the field programs team. Together with the Project Analyst, he develops and integrates the different projects, seeking the best financing option, as well as making decisions that work toward the fulfillment of the established goals and plans. Ignacio is an example of the indigenous leadership that we work for at UNTI. He is a committed, responsible, and diligent young man in fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to him.

His hobbies include: drawing and walking in the countryside while enjoying the scenery.
