Translated Scripture Helps a king worship the True King

Amazing things happen when people hear God speak to them in their language for the first time. When Cofi, the king of a community in Africa, heard Bible translation work was happening in his language, he requested a copy of the translated Scripture. As he read God’s Word, the Holy Spirit opened his eyes and heart. Soon, the king gathered his royal court, family and advisors because he had some good news to share. Everyone was excited to hear his announcement as Cofi stood to give it: “I have met another King, the true King, and He’s the King of kings,” Cofi said. “And I’m going to surrender my life to that King.” This is the power of translated Scripture when people receive it in a language and format they clearly understand..
